Bio
Katie Johnson began the MA program in Fall 2021 after graduating from The University of Alabama in May 2021 with a major in anthropology and minors in Ancient Greek and Latin. As an undergraduate student she was also part of UA’s Honors College. Katie is originally from Sylvania, Alabama. Her interests include history, archaeology, religion, and the study of myth, along with expressions of identity in religion, particularly concerning classical civilization’s impact. Katie held a graduate research position for 2021-22 and 2022-23 working with Global Cafe, an initiative of UA's Community Affairs. After earning her MA Katie was hired full-time by the Honors College at UA as the Coordinator of its Honors Year One program.
