We study religion as one aspect of human cultures, not something that exists separately from them. We use the same tools and methods employed in other fields — like anthropology, history, and political science — to study human behavior.
So no, you don’t have to be religious to study religion at The University of Alabama — you just have to be curious about how cultures work.
