Bio

Aidan Nuttall is originally from Seattle, Washington, though most recebtly living in Wellfleet, MA. He graduated in 2019 from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, with a BA degree in Religion. His thesis, for which he received honors, was titled “It’s Something I Notice, But Not Something That Ruins My Day, Ever,” and was a mixed-methodological study of religiosity, athletics, and a sense of belonging. Following his MA at UA--where he worked with Prof. Altman on a project focused on the use of quantitative methods in current research on so-called Christian nationalism--Aidan is attending the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) to work toward earning a Ph.D. in the study of religion. While at UA Aidan held a Graduate Teaching Assistantship for 2022-23 and, for 2023-24 he was the Research Assistant for the American Examples grant.
