Prof. Altman has set aside Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons from noon-3:30 for advising appointments. Students seeking advising should email him a time and date that fits those afternoons so you can chat about the excellent courses we’re offering next semester and how to get you one semester closer to graduation!

American Examples
American Examples (AE) is a new working group for young scholars of religion in America not on the tenure track funded by the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama. The working group will meet March 22-24, 2019 on the University of Alabama campus and then again at the annual meeting of NAASR and AAR in the fall of 2019. The workshop will culminate in an edited volume of papers produced by participants that will be submitted for publication

There and Back Again: A Grad’s Tale
Anderson Room 3125 in the FergChristopher Hurt graduated in 2008 with an REL major and a minor in Creative Writing. Now living in Los Angeles and training dogs at The Zoom Room, he is pursuing a career in music: recently singing and playing Hammond Organ in the Jamestown Pagans who recently released their first album. After graduating Christopher Hurt also contributed to the RELblog read here.
