American Examples (AE) is a new working group for young scholars of religion in America not on the tenure track funded by the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama. The working group will meet March 22-24, 2019 on the University of Alabama campus and then again at the annual meeting of NAASR and AAR in the fall of 2019. The workshop will culminate in an edited volume of papers produced by participants that will be submitted for publication in the NAASR Working Papers series published by Equinox. Travel, some meals, and lodging, for the workshop meeting at the University of Alabama will be funded by the Department of Religious Studies and the College of Arts & Sciences.
