Prof. Ioannis Xydopoulos, of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, will be visiting UA and the Department of Religious Studies as part of the Alabama-Greece Initiative to meet with his collaborator prof. Vaia Touna. While at the UA he will offer a public lecture: "Macedonia from the 8th-6th c. Students seeking advising should email him a time and date that fits those afternoons so you can chat about the excellent courses we’re offering next semester and how to get you one semester closer to graduation!

American Examples

American Examples (AE) is a new working group for young scholars of religion in America not on the tenure track funded by the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama. The working group will meet March 22-24, 2019 on the University of Alabama campus and then again at the annual meeting of NAASR and AAR in the fall of 2019. The workshop will culminate in an edited volume of papers produced by participants that will be submitted for publication
