Bio

Emma Gibson is from Charleston, SC, and graduated from Furman University in 2017 with a BA in Philosophy. Her interest in Religious Studies led her to the MA program at UA where she was able to combine her philosophical background to the critical study of religion. She defended her thesis, “Reorienting Phenomenological Method for the Critical Study of Religion,” and completed her MA in Spring 2019. She then went on to earn a Master’s in Architecture from Clemson University, in May of 2022, and now works full-time as an Architectural Designer at Equip Studio in Greenville, South Carolina.
