Bio
Ivy Borden received a BA with honors from the University of Alabama in Art History and Southern Studies. As a student in the Art History department’s Accelerated Master’s Program, she began working on her MA in the final year of her undergraduate studies and intends on completing the program in 2024. Ivy’s research interests focus on how concepts of place are constructed from points of contact between multiple spaces, times, people, and events. She is particularly interested in textiles and material culture as a medium for communicating and exploring the conceptual formation of places and place-based identities.
