REL 565.002

Religion in Culture Applied

Independent Study

TBA

Directed reading/independent study courses meet at times agreed upon by the instructor and student(s); speak with a professor with whom you hope to do such a course before obtaining permission to enroll.

Students enrolled in REL’s M.A. degree have a variety of local opportunities to gain applied, practical experience — where the skills acquired in the classroom are not only of direct benefit but where they are also enhanced.

Section 002 of REL 565 is reserved for students aiming to gain writing, editing, and publishing experience, assisting Prof. Richard Newton with producing the quarterly journal, The Bulletin for the Study of Religion, published in the UK and whose editorial home is the University of Alabama.

Learn more about other possible internships and speak with the Graduate Director well in advance of the semester in which you hope to enroll in this internship course.
