Independent Study

TBD

Directed reading/independent study courses meet at times agreed upon by the instructor and student(s); speak with a professor with whom you hope to do such a course before obtaining permission to enroll.

M.A. students can enroll in 3 credit hours of Independent Study with their supervisor or, with their permission, with another faculty member. Such courses will either entail a reading list and weekly meetings or completing additional, graduate-level coursework while attending a 400-level REL seminar already offered by the Department.

Speak with your supervisor if you have an interest to explore a specialized topic with them (or with another faculty member) as part of a directed reading course.

This course is repeatable for up to a total of 9 hours. To enroll you must obtain a permit from the main office.
