One credit course with monthly films and discussions, illustrating the broad application of the skills taught in REL classes, whether we study religion or society in general. No previous courses in REL are required. Can be repeated for up to a total of 3 credits.

Note: due to possible revisions to the class this semester, based on conditions related to COVID-19, films may be viewed by students, together, via the online Kanopy service (to which Gorgas Library subscribes; requires your Bama credentials to login). Find it alphabetically under Research Tools > Databases at the library website.

Students will write brief commentaries and blog posts on the films viewed in the course.

Open to all students. Visit the course website to see movie descriptions and trailers.
