Did you catch this story making the rounds on social media?

Given that Thomas Jefferson rewrote the bible with scissors and glue, to suit his purposes, as did a team led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton (to name only two such efforts), one wonders why this story catches our attention?

Oh, right — it’s news to a certain “our” when anyone with whom they disagree revises the parts they agree with. Ignoring, reinterpreting, or excising the parts “we” disagree with is, well, just common sense, right?
