Independent Study

Independent Study

Location: To be determined by your Professor

Directed reading/independent study courses meet at times agreed upon by the instructor and student(s); speak with a professor with whom you hope to do such a course before obtaining permission to enroll.

Incoming MA students can enroll in 3 credit hours of Independent Study with their supervisor (unless beginning language training is recommended by your supervisor) or, with their permission, with another faculty member. This will either entail a reading list and weekly meetings or completing additional coursework while attending a 400-level REL seminar already offered by the Department.

Speak with a faculty member if you have an interest to explore a specialized topic with them as part of a directed reading course.

This course is repeatable for up to a total of 9 hours.

Books are available at the SUPe Store and online through vendors such as amazon.com.
